I have written for a great variety of publications over the past few decades. Some of my early articles appeared in Forest and Conservation History, Journal of the West, the old Environmental History Review, and other periodicals. For a few years I was enamored of legal history and published articles in the British Journal of American Legal Studies, the ABA's Urban Lawyer, the Journal of African American History, Western Legal History, and a few more.
